CCI fines Google ₹1,337 cr for abuse of dominant position in Android ecosystem


The Competition Commission of India fined 1,337.76 crore on tech giant Google for “abusing its dominant position” in multiple markets in the Android mobile device ecosystem.

The fair trade regulator ordered the internet major to stop and refrain from unfair trade practices.

In a release, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) said it has also instructed Google to change its behavior within a certain timeline.
