Wi-Fi Calling allows you to make calls over a Wi-Fi connection. If your carrier supports the feature, you’ll be able to access better call quality based on your Wi-Fi connection strength. So – for all the Visible subscribers out there – let’s talk about whether Visible has Wi-Fi calling or not.

Does Visible have Wi-Fi calling?

Visible Bring a Friend deal

Yes, Visible supports Wi-Fi calling. Both Visible and Visible+ plans are compatible with Wi-Fi calling and all you need to do is enable Wi-Fi calling on your device. Basically, your ability to make calls over Wi-Fi depends on whether or not your device is capable of making calls over Wi-Fi.

Enable Wi-Fi calling on your visible device

Apple

Apple’s latest iPhones should be able to make Wi-Fi calls, as long as they’re running the latest version of iOS. The provider must also be updated to Visible 46.0.

  1. Open on your iPhone Settings.
  2. Go to Mobile.
  3. Tap Wi-Fi calling.
  4. Press Wi-Fi calling on this iPhone toggle when it’s grayed out to enable the feature.
  5. Tap in the confirmation Switch.

Android

Android devices also work with Visible’s Wi-Fi calling feature.

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Use the search function and type “Wi-Fi Calling”.
  3. Navigate to the Wi-Fi Calling option and enable it.

Here’s the thing: if you didn’t get your device through Visible, there’s a chance you can’t access Wi-Fi calling. For example, here in Canada I use an unlocked phone on a carrier that supports Wi-Fi calling. However, I can’t access the feature because carrier settings (and being able to update them) are usually only possible on carrier devices themselves.
