Elon Musk has hired legendary iPhone hacker ‘Geohot’ to fix Twitter searches.
On November 16, George Hotz, founder of Comma.ai and jailbreak hacker extraordinaire, commented on a leaked email from Elon Musk asking employees to be part of a new hardcore Twitter.
“This is the attitude that builds incredible things,” Hotz said. “Let all those who do not desire greatness depart.”
He followed that up offer to work for three months to the company for living expenses.
“I’ll put my money where my mouth is. I’m up for a 12 week internship at Twitter for living expenses in SF. It’s not about raising capital in a dead world, it’s about making the world alive .”
Musk saw the tweet and said, “Sure, let’s talk.”
On November 19 Hotz confirmed he worked at Twitter.
“A month ago I made my first tweet. Today I’m a Tweep! The internet feels full of possibilities again.”
It looks like Musk gave Geohot the order search fix on the platform.
