Oct 21 (Reuters) – Taiwanese electronics maker Foxconn (2317.TW) said on Friday that production at its largest iPhone factory remains normal, despite the tightening of COVID-19 restrictions at its factory in China’s Zhengzhou city this week.

“Zhengzhou (factory) is still maintaining normal production and has little impact (of the situation),” Foxconn told Reuters.
The new measures follow Zhengzhou’s latest outbreak, which saw a total of 196 cases recorded since October 8, and Foxconn’s factory ramps up production of the latest iPhone 14 models.
Apple did not immediately respond to a request from Reuters for comment.
