Switch off play video automatically at Google Discover
There may be times when you just don’t want to see these autoplay previews as you scroll through your feed. For that, Google gives users the option to always disable this feature. After the feature is turned off, Google Discover displays YouTube videos that look like static cards.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to disable video autoplay in Google Discover on Android:
Swipe left on your Android smartphone’s home screen to launch Discover Google.
Tap your profile pictureavailable in the top right corner.
Go to the Institutions tab.
Select the General option.
Then tap the Play video previews automatically option.
Select the Never option to completely disable video autoplay.
You can also choose Only on Wi-Fi if you want the video to play automatically when using Wi-Fi only.
