The White Lotus actress, 61, looked as glamorous as ever as she partied all night to welcome 2023, but struggled to capture the highlights of her night.
She shared the accident on social media and posted a video of her looking confused at the camera as someone was heard saying, “You’re so hot, what are you doing?”
Jennifer smiles at someone off screen before asking, “How do I… how do I turn it around?” How do I… How do I…?’
She looks away from the camera again and asks, “How do I make this fit?” How do I, uh, the, how do I flip the video?’
A second person then joins Jennifer on screen and says, “I think you should stop doing this,” before the video ends.
The American Pie star clearly found the situation hilarious, captioning the video, “I’m not proud of this…. ass!! I’m going to learn the iFone in 2023!! Happee Noo Yeer! 💋❤️’
One fan commented under the post, “You are an icon. That’s all. 👏🏻’
A second wrote: ‘Never change! You are perfect in your imperfections.’
While a third offered some advice, he wrote: ‘Hello Icon!! Unfortunately, you can’t flip videos on the iPhone camera – only through apps like Instagram, Snapchat, etc.”
Jennifer has enjoyed a somewhat revitalized career in recent years, acclaimed for her roles in The White Lotus and The Watcher.
But she credits Ariana Grande for her recent successes and claimed she was “flatlining” before appearing in the singer’s thank you video in 2018.
In the music video, the actress paid homage to her Legally Blonde character Paulette Bonafonte, while Ariana, 29, channeled her inner Elle Woods.
“I do want to say this: I mean, a lot of people say flattering things to you all the time because you are who you are, and you’re the youngest iconic legend I can think of,” Jennifer told Ariana during an interview for EW.
She added, “I’m curious if you know when people ask how my life has changed… Yes, I have to do White Lotus, but I think it really started when you asked me to be in the Thank U, Next to be video. .’
Jennifer even called Ariana an “instigator” for the opportunities that followed her cameo.
