Look after! New £89 Android phone offers big features on a budget

Samsung may be about to announce the launch of its flagship Galaxy S23, but if it sounds a little rich to spend over £700 on a new top-end smartphone, Motorola hopes it has the answer. The famed phone company has just unveiled five new devices, all offering big specs such as fast 120Hz displays, dual-lens cameras and stereo speakers, most of which cost less than £200.

That’s very cheap, but those on a really tight budget will be pleased to hear that one of these new bell makers will soon be arriving in stores in the UK for less than £100. Yes, the Moto e13 can be in your pocket for just £89 be stopped and don’t think low price means cheap basement features.

This budget blower is packed with upgrades, including a 6.5-inch HD+ display, a huge 5000 mAh battery and a smart AI-powered camera that adjusts your shots so you always get the perfect shot. There’s even Dolby Atmos audio to make those box set binges sound a little more immersive.

Motorola has confirmed that the e13 will be available in three colours: cosmic black, aurora green and cream white and will arrive from early March with a starting MSRP of £89.99 on Amazon, Argos, Carphone Warehouse, Currys, John Lewis, 02, Tesco and Vodafone.

So that’s the discounted phone, but what about the rest?

Android fans will be spoiled for choice with the launch of devices including the most premium moto g73 5G with a 50-megapixel camera with macro capabilities plus a 6.5-inch 120Hz display that makes scrolling feel silky smooth and stutter-free. As the name suggests, there’s also full access to 5G data rates that can send files and movies to the phone at speeds in excess of 300Mbps.

Then there’s the moto g53 5G, which also features a 50-megapixel camera with Quad Pixel technology and a dedicated Macro Vision lens for extreme close-ups. This device is powered by Qualcomm’s fast Snapdragon 480+ processor and packs a 5,000mAh battery under the case.

The last two devices are the moto g23 and g13, which feature slightly slower 90Hz 6.5-inch screens and ditch 5G for 4G. However, the g23 does come with TurboPower 30W charging, giving it hours of charging in just minutes.

All of these phones will go on sale in March with full pricing details below.
