Security experts Kaspersky urges users to consider replacing their phone once it is no longer supported by the operating system.


“Outdated phones are teeming with unpatched exploits that hackers deliberately track and exploit,” the company says.
“Getting a newer, supported phone will help protect yourself from a data breach.”
For this reason, it is also important to keep your operating system up to date if your device is still supported.
“Security patches in these updates are essential for the security of your phone,” continues Kaspersky.

The good news is that Apple tends to support iPhones for many years after release.
