The Nothing Phone (1) will soon receive the beta version of Android 13

The Nothing Phone (1) was one of the most anticipated Android phones of the year and delivered on its promise to be unique. However, now that the hype has died down, users of Nothing phones are looking forward to the arrival of Android 13 to the device. Thanks to 91Mobiles, we know that the beta version of Android 13 is coming to the Nothing Phone (1).

We were upset that Android 13 isn’t coming to the Nothing Phone (1) until next year. Not only that, but we don’t know when it will come next year. The company’s CEO, Carl Pei, said it’s coming in early 2023, but that’s not saying much.

But the Android 13 beta is coming soon to the Nothing Phone (1).

Carl Pei has been teasing the final Android 13 beta for the Nothing Phone (1) on Twitter for a few weeks. This should come as no surprise since posting teasers is his thing. Yesterday he gave us solid information about the beta.

In a tweet, he said that Nothing OS Android 13 closed beta launched yesterday. The open beta starts in two weeks. Apart from that, the co-founder of OnePlus has not given us any other information about the update.

This means that we remain in the dark about almost everything. We don’t know exactly how to sign up for the beta program, nor do we know who qualifies for the closed beta.

We also don’t know what to expect during the open or closed beta. We’re not quite sure if Nothing intends to do anything with the images or if it will mainly be an infrastructure renewal.

What we do know is that Nothing is on track to deliver the Android 13 update on time, and that’s good news. The latest version of Android is starting to make its way to more phones. It’s clear that the Pixel phones got the first points. However, Samsung is delivering its One UI 5 update to its phones, and that brings Android 13 with it.

Perhaps being left in the dark is what Carl Pei wants. He is known as one of the biggest hype lords in the tech space. Anyway, we’ll find out soon enough.
