GOOGLE has released an Android update to Pixel owners ahead of new products expected to launch this week.
The latest software includes some key fixes for a smoother phone experience.

But as Android Police reports, this is the last guaranteed patch for the Pixel 4 and 4 XL devices.
The patch apparently fixes an issue that causes intermittent buzzing noises when taking a call with a wired headset.
It also fixes an issue that caused the device’s volume control in the media player notification to not work under certain conditions.
Elsewhere, Google has fixed some connectivity, UI, and Wi-Fi errors.


It all comes days before the tech giant’s latest major product launch event.
Google is tipped to unveil brand new versions of its Pixel smartphone line.
On the way to the 7th generation, two new Pixels are expected: the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro.
But it’s not the only rumor mill.

How long is support guaranteed for my Pixel phone?
Google says the Pixel 6 and later phones will get Pixel updates for at least five years from when the device first became available on the Google Store in the US.
Here are the earliest guaranteed dates for each model:
- Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro – October 2024
- Pixel 6a – July 2025
- Pixel 5a with 5G – August 2024
- Pixel 5 – October 2023
- Pixel 4a (5G) – Nov 2023
- Pixel 4a – August 2023
- Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL – October 2022
- Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL May 2022


The latest version of Android for Pixel is now available.
So if you are not up to date, download it now from the system settings.
