We recently reported that a Telugu remake of the popular Malayalam movie Android Kunjappan Vr 5.25 is in the works, with sources claiming senior actor Mohan Babu will be in Suraj Venjaramoodu’s shoes. Mohan Babu’s son and actor Vishnu Manchu have officially confirmed the development.
During a recent interaction with these followers on the microblogging site Twitter, when asked about the truth in development, the actor replied with a firm, “Yes.”
The 2019 Malayalam film directed by Ratheesh Balakrishna Poduval was a commercial and critical success. The film also inspired a Tamil remake, titled Koogle Kuttappastarring KS Ravikumar in the titular role.
Aside from Mohan Babu, the cast and crew details of the Telugu remake remain secret and are expected to be announced soon. However, it is speculated that the film will be Mohan Babu’s home production, as will his recent films, Gayathri and Son of India.
Meanwhile, Vishnu can be seen next time in ginnastarring Sunny Leone and Payal Rajput in the lead role.
