It’s been two months since Android 13 became available for Pixel phones. Still, the upgrade is available for quite a few eligible Android phones. Most Android smartphone OEMs are testing the new software on their premium flagship phones and Vivo is no different. Vivo has been testing the new Android 13 upgrade on its flagship Vivo X80 Pro since May, the availability of the public build is still unknown, but now the company has shared a list of phones that are eligible for the Android 13 update.
Vivo has officially shared the list of Android 13 compatible models on its social media handles, the company has shared an image via the FuntouchOS Twitter handle but also on Instagram. And according to the image shared by Vivo, the company plans to upgrade more than 20 eligible phones by the end of this year, while 17 other models will receive the new software in the first half of 2023. In total, the company plans to upgrade the new to 37 compatible phones. Of course, the new software is based on FuntouchOS 13.
Speaking of the rollout timeline, the roadmap confirms that the upgrade will be released first to the Vivo X80 Pro from late September 2022, meaning if you own the Vivo X80 Pro, you can expect a new firmware upgrade at any time. Although, your phone will receive the beta version first and then a stable upgrade in the next few months.

Vivo has big plans for the coming month, which is November. Yes, the company plans to release the new Android 13-based FuntouchOS 13 upgrade to at least 15 phones, including last year’s flagship series – X70 series, V series phones, T series phones and also a few Y-series models .
The upgrade will be released for the X60 series phones in December. While other models will receive the new upgrade of H1 2023. Here’s the full Android 13 rollout timeline for Vivo phones.

For changes, Vivo recently released the Android 13 beta for the phone of its sister brands – iQOO Neo 6. And the device received a new update with features such as more color palettes as we have seen in stock Android 13, option to hide photos in the gallery app, brings new phone cooling features to the iManager, the ability to see the notification permission icon on the notification shade, and more. You can also expect the essential features of Android 13.
If you own one of these Vivo phones and want to upgrade to the new Android 13-focused FuntouchOS 13 upgrade, make sure your phone is running the latest software version available. If your phone is running the latest version, you can go to Settings > System Update, then tap the gear icon in the top right corner and select the trial version and request the new update.
