Do you ever open your iPhone and realize that your screen is a lot dimmer than it was an hour ago? Well, this is no coincidence. It’s an automatic measure that Apple has programmed into every iPhone device as a battery-saving measure.
The brightness automatically adjusts depending on how much light there is in your environment. The less light you have around you, the dimmer your screen becomes.
Maybe you prefer your iPhone to always be on the same brightness level. Maybe you struggle with your eyesight and you just see better when your phone has a higher brightness level, whether you’re in a dark place or not.
The good news is that there is a way to adjust the brightness level of your iPhone so that it never lights up again.

The most important thing to watch out for so that your brightness levels stay the same is that your iPhone does not overheat. Even if you have disabled Auto-Brightness and True Tone, your iPhone will automatically lower the brightness level if the device overheats as a safety measure.
Your phone can sometimes overheat within seconds if left in the sun or in a hot place (for example, in a car) for too long. It can also overheat if you have a faulty battery that needs to be replaced.
